Leverkusen and Bayern Take Control, Bournemouth and Bahia Stay in the Hunt

After two matchdays, the picture is becoming clearer in Groups E and F,

while the battle for the remaining qualification spots is wide open.

Group E – Leverkusen in Cruise Control, Bournemouth Still Alive

Bayer Leverkusen continued their flawless campaign with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over AFC Bournemouth, following their emphatic 6–2 demolition of The New Saints on Matchday One. With seven goals scored and only two conceded, the Bundesliga side sits comfortably on top with a maximum six points.

Behind them, Bournemouth remain firmly in contention. The Cherries opened their tournament with a solid 2–0 win over CF Pachuca, but were unable to break down Leverkusen's disciplined defense in their second outing, leaving them on three points.

Meanwhile, The New Saints bounced back in style, defeating CF Pachuca 4–2 in an entertaining contest packed with attacking football. The Welsh champions recovered from their heavy opening defeat and moved level with Bournemouth on points, while Pachuca's second consecutive loss leaves the Mexican side rooted to the bottom of the table.

Bahìa scored the deserved winner in the 89th minute through center forward Willian José.

For Bologna, the campaign has yet to take off. After an entertaining draw against Bahia, the Italian side fell to Bayern Munich and remains on just one point. Porto, meanwhile, have endured a nightmare start, losing both matches and sitting bottom of the group without a single point.
