BLUES REIGN SUPREME IN MUNICH

Chelsea down valiant Talleres 3–1 to claim SSWN Golden League glory at the Allianz Arena

MUNICH — In front of a sell-out crowd under the gleaming lights of the miniature Allianz Arena, Chelsea etched their name onto the SSWN Golden League trophy with a commanding 3–1 victory over Argentine side Talleres de Córdoba.

What was billed as a clash of styles—London finesse against South American grit—delivered high drama from the very first flick of the felt.

⚽ SSWN Golden League Final

Venue: Allianz Arena, Munich

FIRST HALF: COLE PALMER'S OPENER SETS THE TONE

Chelsea broke the deadlock in the 24th minute following a period of sustained pressure. Slicing through Talleres’ tight low block, Cole Palmer found space at the edge of the shooting area before unleashing a textbook low flick into the bottom corner, leaving Talleres goalkeeper Guido Herrera stranded (1–0).

Talleres responded with characteristic tenacity, threatening on quick counter-attacks down the left flank led by Rubén Botta, but Chelsea carried their slender lead into the interval.

SECOND HALF: TALLERES STRIKE BACK, BUT BLUES ACCELERATE

The match exploded into life midway through the second half:

• 62’ TALLERES EQUALIZE (1–1): Talleres struck back with a stunning effort. A clever series of defensive block-flicks set up a swift central break, allowing Federico Girotti to find space just outside the D and produce a precise strike off the post and in, sending the Argentine bench into wild celebrations.

• 74’ CHELSEA RETAKE THE LEAD (2–1): Parity lasted just twelve minutes. Chelsea caught Talleres off-guard with a sweeping flick down the right wing initiated by Enzo Fernández. A perfectly weighted cross-field setup allowed Christopher Nkunku to drive a ferocious shot into the top corner.

• 88’ THE CLINCHER (3–1): With Talleres pushing every miniature forward in search of a late equalizer, Chelsea delivered the knockout blow on the counter. Nicolas Jackson secured a clinical finish from inside the shooting box to seal the title in style.

Yet another triumph for an English team! Heartiest congratulations to registered player Dimakis L. (1054-GRE), who has won the Golden League-5, repeating the success he achieved in GL-3.
