The second victory for Twente in group C against River Plate with a goal from Ugalde two minutes from the end, while in the other match, Napoli overwhelmed Manchester United 3:0 which remains stuck at 0 points.

In group D, Manchester City consolidated its lead by scoring two goals against Atalanta. Nervous match with two expulsions and few chances in the goalless draw between Gent and Freiburg who also share the last place in the standings.
